Cook-a-long with Little Pie Patisserie!
We'll be making a delicious mushroom bourguignon - a super easy and adaptable recipe that comes together quickly enough for a weekday meal but feels really comforting and luxurious.
The recipe is vegetarian but can easily be adapted to be vegan or dairy free.
Mavens will need the following ingredients and equipment for the masterclass;
Equipment;
Heavy bottomed saucepan, wok or pot
Sharp knife
Wooden spoon
Kitchen scales
Measuring jug
Ingredients;
600g Mushrooms - chestnut mushrooms are beautiful in this dish but any variety of your choosing will work well
150g Shallots, peeled and halved
100g Chantenay carrots, halved
2 tbsp Olive oil
2 tbsp Butter (salted is best)
2 tbsp plain flour
1 tbsp Tomato puree
1 tbsp Garlic puree (be generous!)
1 Medium glass (around 175ml) fruity French red wine (again be generous!)
150ml Good vegetable stock
Sprigs of thyme, rosemary
Salt & pepper to taste
